IRSS has taken patronage over the 6th edition of the Poznań Rare Diseases Day Conference. It will take place on February 28, 2025, which is also World Rare Diseases Day, at the Congress and Teaching Center of the Karol Marcinkowski Medical University in Poznań

The aim of the conference is to raise awareness and stimulate discussion about an integrated approach to rare diseases, which requires collaboration among specialists in medicine, nursing, physiotherapy, pharmacy, and public health. The conference will be held in person and will cover topics related to both clinical aspects (diagnosis, therapy, and rehabilitation of patients) and psychosocial aspects (the functioning of families affected by a rare disease, the role of psychological support, quality of life of caregivers, and the economic costs associated with caring for someone with a rare disease).

The event is intended for medical professionals, medical university students, parents of individuals with rare diseases, and anyone interested in this topic. Participation in the event is free of charge with prior registration.
