How to Support Young People So Their Stories of Beating Cancer Are Heard? How to Empower them in Advocacy?

These were among the topics addressed by Jakub Golab, President of the Institute for Social Policy Development, during a conversation with young people.

On friday in Wrocław, discussions focused on health policy and the healthcare system, emphasizing the importance of support during illness. Participants highlighted that recovery is influenced not only by relationships but also by support groups, physical activity, and pursuing passions.

They also talked about advocacy—how to make sure patients’ voices are heard and how sharing personal stories can inspire changes.

The workshops, organized by Fundacja Pani Ani, which specializes in the rehabilitation of children with cancer, and the European Commission, took place in Wrocław.

The goal was to teach young advocates how to speak up for patients both in Poland and across Europe. Through sharing ideas and learning from each other, the workshops aimed to give young people the tools they need to be strong voices in the future.

The Institute for Social Policy Development was a partner of this important event.

By working together, they can ensure that no patient feels alone in their fight.
