On July 3, 2025, the Ministry of Health hosted a meeting with representatives from public institutions, medical communities, and health policy experts. This event provided a unique chance to demonstrate the achievements of Poland’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union, which concluded at the end of June. The event enabled the exchange of experiences, sharing of best practices, and discussion of challenges facing the Polish healthcare system within the broader European context.
Poland’s presidency coincided with a period of significant legislative changes and strategic decisions in the healthcare sector. The 6-month presidency focused on four key areas: protecting children’s mental health in the digital age, disease prevention with a particular emphasis on cancer, the digital transformation of healthcare systems, and ensuring pharmaceutical security and access to medicines.
The Institute for Social Policy Development was represented at the meeting by:
• Jakub Gołąb, President of the Management Board;
• Małgorzata Bogusz, Member of the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) and Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board;
• Prof. Bolesław Samoliński, Chair of the Scientific Council.
The Institute extends its sincere gratitude to the Ministry of Health for the invitation to participate in this important event.
