Last Friday, a seven-hour conference concluded a series of six expert meetings dedicated to the health priorities of the Polish presidency, as well as issues from various therapeutic areas

The result of this monumental, months-long undertaking will be a February meeting during which we will present the so-called White Paper—a collection of expert knowledge developed during our conferences, as well as a compilation of best practices that Poland can share with Europe.

Friday’s concluding conference, titled “The Road to the Presidency: Prevention and Public Health in the Program of the Polish Presidency of the EU Council,” was attended by over 40 specialists, including the Rector of the Medical University of Warsaw, Prof. Rafał Krenke, as well as the Secretary and Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Health: Wojciech Konieczny and Katarzyna Kacperczyk.

The “Road to the Presidency” conference series was organized by the Institute for the Development of Social Affairs in cooperation with the Medical Center of the Medical University of Warsaw. The event was held under the honorary patronage of the European Economic and Social Committee, the Polish Academy of Sciences (Public Health Committee and Clinical Sciences Committee), the Lech Wałęsa Institute, THINKTANK Center for Dialogue and Analysis, and the Polish Promotional Emblem Foundation “Teraz Polska.” Media patronage was provided by Polityka Zdrowotna.

The initiative was financed by the National Freedom Institute – Center for Civil Society Development under the Civic Initiatives Fund Program (NOWEFIO) for the years 2021–2030.
