Krzysztof Łanda, a physician, lists the problems that exist in the polish healthcare system

We already have an estimated value of the budget deficit for 2026, which is around 50 billion PLN. There will be no additional revenue. The most important question we all need to ask ourselves is how we are going to deal with the deficit.

The Minister of Health will cut costs. There will likely be reductions in guaranteed healthcare services and in the hospital network. The situation is difficult. A reform of the healthcare system is urgently needed.

We spoke with Krzysztof Łanda during the Economic Forum in Karpacz in 2025.
