Katarzyna Kęcka and Tomasz Maciejewski appointed as new Deputy Ministers of Health. Minister Jolanta Sobierańska-Grenda officially presented the nominations. Katarzyna Kacperczyk will remain in her position, continuing to coordinate matters related to the National Recovery Plan.
Katarzyna Kęcka
- PhD in Health Sciences, specialist in cardiological nursing; since 2013, she has focused on nursing competencies
- Author and co-author of publications and textbooks; former Chair of the Polish Nursing Association in Szczecin (2018–2023)
- Actively involved in postgraduate education for nurses and midwives; conducts specialist and qualification courses; member of the State Examination Board
- Organizer of health and educational initiatives, including workshops, educational films, and counseling for seniors
- Honored in the “Polka XXI w.” competition (2022) for her contributions to women’s health prevention
Tomasz Maciejewski
- Gynecologist-obstetrician, perinatologist, and healthcare manager; long-time Director of the Mother and Child Institute in Warsaw
- Graduate of the Medical University of Warsaw, the Warsaw School of Economics, and MBA studies at Kozminski University
- Head of specialization courses at CMKP, court expert, and author of numerous scientific publications
- Innovator in genetic diagnostics and therapy, including SMA and cystic fibrosis screenings, as well as gene therapies for newborns and pregnant women
- Recipient of awards: Medonet Awards 2024 and Health Leader of the Year 2024 – Innovative Hospital
